This week it’s Scott from Denver. @bareinkslinger has been a crush of ours for about a year. He tells us about his passion for underwear and some of the stories about his favourite pairs of undies…

F&U: We’ve been drooling over your Instagram for a while Scott. Now we can finally discover… what do you most like doing in your undies?
I love socializing in undies. Anytime I travel to another city, I look up the local bar scene to see if anyone hosts underwear nights. Hanging out with others like this feels vulnerable yet sexy. It’s exposing yet it still leaves room for intrigue and curiosity.
People seem more friendly and open when they are hanging out in their underwear. And you can still see their personalities via what they wear. It almost always adds up to a fantastic evening. I wish more bars did it!
F&U: So what’s your usual opening line when you approach someone at an underwear party?
The best part about underwear parties is that you have the conversation starter right there around your waist. While it is super-generic, I oftentimes just walk up and say; “I like your underwear.” It’s a great way to say “hello” without awkwardly saying hello. Once that is out of the way, we can do our introductions and get to our flirting.
F&U: Do you ever get ‘underwear envy’?
I do sometimes get underwear envy, but differently than you’d think… I get envious when a guy is wearing something like boxers and looks sexier than all the other guys who are wearing skimpy cuts (like I do). It feels classic, strong, sexy, masculine, and confident. And him being more covered only makes me more curious. Boxers might be due for a sexy comeback.

F&U: Do you have a favorite pair of underpants? What’s the story….
My favorite pair of undies currently is a square cut design with pockets by PUMP. They’re red with a black waistband and black piping with a grey dick pouch. The color combination is so nicely done, and it goes great with my tattoos. They are incredibly comfortable especially with the pouch being made from a super soft mesh. The pockets come in handy whenever I get the chance to go to those underwear nights I mentioned before.
I also love these because I got them in an underwear trade with a friend. I’m a very sentimental guy and I think highly of the friend who I swapped with.
F&U: Well, this guy sounds very special… want to tell us few more details, we’re nosey like that…
Yeah, you could say this friend was special. I met him through couchsurfing.com. He was a nudist and when I stayed at his place, he had a mandatory “no clothing” rule inside his home. In the US, this is pretty edgy.
I had done nudism before, but staying with someone like this was a whole new world for me. It pushed my boundaries in a great way. When he came and stayed with us in Denver, I took him naked hiking. We discovered that we both really enjoy underwear and so that’s when we traded a couple pairs and I got my PUMP square cuts with the pockets.

F&U: Do you have a regular skin care/beauty routine?
I’m the kind of guy who favors nature and simplicity over complicated and pricy. I use raw African shea butter that I purchased at a small farmers market in a little town outside of Tucson, AZ. It cost me seven bucks and will probably last me ten years! The only downside is that it’s a little greasy. But I love it. I apply it after getting out of the shower so I can lock in any moisture that remains on the surface of my skin. It also acts like a natural sun screen which is my other approach to skin care: protecting it from the sun. Like most things in healthcare, when it comes to skin, it’s best to be preventative. We all know the damage that sun will do. That’s while you’ll never see me running around with a glorious tan. But I like being pale anyway. It helps maintain the quality of my tattoos.
F&U: What is your number one health tip or trick?
Again, I love turning to nature when it comes to health and working out. Using nutrients rather than chemical supplements fascinates me. My favorite trick is to put raw ground ginger (preferably organic) in my post workout protein. Ginger helps calm inflammation which is great for after a workout. It also aids in digestion to help the body absorb more of that protein. Plus, if you’re using vanilla protein, it will taste like a ginger snap! How fucking awesome is that?!

F&U: What’s the best thing about living in Denver?
It’s a great modern city that is so close to the mountains. You could go hiking or skiing during the day and go out for great dining and nightlife at night.
